Oy!

I can not believe that it has been so long since I have updated. I guess I have been too busy living life to post about it. :)

My foot is getting better. Still hurts some, but not nearly as bad as it did. Every time I think I am ready to start working out again, it proves me wrong. Luckily, I haven't gained any weight... but I haven't lost, either.

I am having some other issues - I will spare you the details, but will say that last Friday I was >this close< to having an emergency hysterectomy. Not exactly what I wanted to share with everyone, but there you are.

Christian has applied for and been accepted to college. He will be taking the ACT at the ass crack of dawn April 4th. He is going to school for free (the tuition guarantee that the local community college has for all high school and homeschool graduates in the city) but still has to take the ACT because one of the requirements of the tuition guarantee is applying for any and all financial aid.

We will be having a big graduation party for him when we go back to Ohio in June. The "theme" is Southern BBQ - mostly because he didn't want a theme, and the only thing he cared about was the food. Typical teenage boy! I am making the announcements and will post a pic of it when I get it done.

Tomorrow we are headed to Jackson. We need to buy a new tent and Bass Pro Shop seems like the best place. I also need to find some scrapbook paper for the announcements. I found the perfect paper online, but somehow didn't bookmark it. Of course, I can't find it again. Hopefully I will find something comparable at a scrapbooking store. *Fingers crossed*

My mom and her husband are coming for a visit in about a month. He didn't want to come (he is a grump and doesn't like to travel) but once he heard that we live on a lake and he can fish, he is all over it. He knew Ethan wanted to fish with him but once he heard that the other two boys wanted to, he went out and bought a ton of stuff. my mom said he is packing already, and packing so much stuff that she is afraid they might have to being a trailer to hold it all. :) We are going to try to find a good charter service on the Gulf as a surprise. All of the guys can go fishing and we can hang out on the beach. Not too bad!

I finally bought the part my computer needed. Turns out, I didn't even have to order it, and Best Buy had it for $50 less than I was prepared to pay. Of course, I have still been using the laptop. This chair is just way more comfy than the computer chair. lol

The boys finally got their iPods. Christian and Alex each got an iPod touch and Ethan got a Nano. They saved their money for a long time to be able to get them. I am proud of them for being able to set a goal and make it happen!
